Orble is a sequencer for live, improvised electronic music. Every track is a ring of steps turning at its own speed — so loops drift against each other into polyrhythms. Shape the sound with big macro knobs, switch whole groups in time, and perform it.

How it works

Four groups, A to D, each with up to eight tracks. One group plays big in the middle of the stage, where you shape it; the other three keep turning at the side, ready to bring in.

One minute of Orble, sound on: a beat from Generate, a breakdown lined up with ARM and GO, a sweep on the bass macro, a fill and a repeat, and a fade out with the fader. Or see the stage as a picture.

Built for playing live

Everything is quantized to the music — mutes, scene changes, tempo, chords land on the beat — so you can improvise without breaking the groove.

Rings & polyrhythm

Each ring has its own length and speed. A 16-step hat against a 7-step perc and a 12-step bass: patterns that never repeat the same way.

Synths built in

Analog (with unison), FM, Wavetable and a drum machine — plus your own samples and external MIDI synths. Lock any sound per step.

Macros & controllers

Eight big knobs per track and three banks per group. MIDI-learn any knob to your controller and record your moves into the steps.

Generate & corrupt

Start from a generated beat in a style — techno, house, breaks, dnb, ambient… — and let Corrupt slowly mutate it while you play.

Harmony

One key for the whole set, chord progressions on a bar, and tracks that follow the chord — so basses, stabs and arps stay in tune.

Perform & record

Arm mutes and fire them on the next bar, hold a group in a loop, crossfade between groups, fill, repeat, sweep — and record the whole jam to a WAV file.

Your first minute

The first time you open Orble, a short tour shows you around. The gist:

Generate a beat

Press the sparkle button on a group, pick a style, and a whole beat lands on the next bar.

Play

Press Shift+Space (or the play button). The rings start turning.

Shape it

Click a ring to open its track, then turn the macro knobs on both sides of the rings.

Perform

Mute tracks with M, arm several with A and fire them together with Space.

Play together Coming soon

Up to four players in a room, each playing one group, all hearing the same music in time — over the internet. It's built and being tested; it opens after the first release.

What you need

Just a browser — Orble runs entirely on your computer, with its own synths and effects.

  • A computer. Orble is made for a keyboard, a mouse and a big screen.
  • Chrome or Edge for everything (MIDI controllers, a second audio output for headphones). Firefox and Safari play, without MIDI.
  • Headphones on a second output let you prepare a muted group before bringing it in.
  • Your music stays in your browser. No account, no tracking. Export scenes and sounds as files to keep them.
